Title: pike fly line
Post by: arog on 06/07/2012 at 23:05
Hey guys, have anyone used barrio SLX line for pike fishing? I am looking for good quality fly line which could be capable to cast not only streamers or bugs, but a bit heavier pike flies (such as pike flies). I am not talking about very big flies, just up to 10-12cm long (~4 inches).  I almost always fishing on the river, I don't have enough place behind me so fly line which is good for spey cast would be much better for me. I hope so.

P.S. My fly rod is 6/7 weight. And sorry for my English skills

HI,

What materials are your flies made from?

Cheers

Hi Arog,

The #7 should carry most of them just fine, ifit struggles, cut 6" off the tip.

Cheers
