Title: A few days in Stadtkyll (Eifel, Germany...)
Post by: Sieger Devries on 24/06/2012 at 20:41
Just back from a few days in Germany were we fished the Kyll... The Kyll is a smaller trout-stream in the Eifel and here it is actually pretty small.... Sometimes not wider than 2 meters... so no big casts, but a lot of roll- en switch casting.... I used a Imago IPT #3 (soft) rod with a Barrio GT 90 line on it and it was a great combo.... Easy casting and fortunately catching...
Caught my biggest grayling (didn't catch that much of these.... ;) ) around 40 cm, for the Kyll a very decent fish.... Didn't want to keep it too long out of the water, but managed a quick snapshot... More to come on my blog ....
