As per last week,  less and less trout are being caught on lures now that there is more food about and small nymphs, wets, spiders and dries are the way to go :wink

Spiders, Hares Ears, Pheasant Tails, Bloodworm, Pearly Pennell, Crunchers, Bibio, Klinks, F-flies, Emergers and Olive Nymphs are featuring in the catch sheets.

Alex Burnett enjoyed a great session with 30 Broons up to 3.5 lb ( no it wasn't easy, other folk on the water at the same time struggled to get 1 or 2 fish ) and on a second visit Alex netted 20 up to 3 lb. Ewan Lindsay had 15 up to 2.5 lb and on a second visit 10 up to 5 lb. Fred McAlley tempted 11 fish up to 2 lb and Nick Hebenton had 10 up to 2 lb.

Best wishes
Mike
