Post by: Kevin Moss on 06/05/2012 at 20:24
Good weather saw a good turnout for the Brian Christie memorial competition which was won by Seamus Maguire.2nd went to Brians Brother which was fitting Jimmy Christie and in 3rd was Chris johnston.Plenty of good fish were caught around the 4 and 5 lb but it wasnt easy for anglers.heaviest fish was 5lbs 15 ozs which went to Chris Johnston. It was a good day and a thankyou must go to Bob Aleqander and Zander Christie who spared their own time to build the new "Black Prince shelter" to stand as a memorial which was opened on the day. Thanks alot Gents. Also thankyou to all those who travelled a good distance to fish the comp. The rest of the weeks fishing was decent and R Gunn snr and Jnr had good days with 12,s to 22 fish, among them blues and tiger trout to 3lbs Shane Fraser had 22 also,Paul McDonald had 12,Ian Munro 12,Gordon Grant couldnt go wrong on buzzers with 31 and averages were high around 8 fish a session.Next Competition is June 3rd which is a "winner take all" and the all night compy is on sat16th June to sun 17th jun starting at 10 pm and finishing at 6pm.We must apoligise for the road, but this should now be sorted this week.
