Hi folks
Haddo Trout Fishery opened for the 2012 season on March 15th. Anglers have found the Brownies to be high in the water and Loch Ordie, Bibio, Corixa, Spiders, Pearly Pennell, March Brown Nymph, Hares Ear Nymph, Diawl Bachs, Damsels and Fritz have been popular fly choices. A Bloody Butcher, Orange Dancer and an Ace of Spades also proved useful.
Some of the better catches this week have included Ewan Lindsay tempting 25 trout up to 4 lb for his day, Alex Burnett netted 20 up to 3.5 lb, Baz Robertson 18 up to 2.5 lb, Liam Stephen 11 up to 2.5 lb, Alistair Davidson 10 up to 5 lb, Dan Bruce 10 up to 2 lb, Rick Steen 10 up to 2 lb and Peter Black caught 10 fish up to 1.5 lb. Graeme Ellington also netted a nice Brown of approx 5 lb and Alan Smith had another nice 3 lb fish.
A good start to the season :z16
Best wishes
