Post by: The Aul Troot on 18/02/2012 at 15:45
It's great to be able to submit a report again after a period of inclement weather and icing problems. Let's hope we are now on the downhill run to Spring. The fish this week have been surprisingly active and great sport has been enjoyed during the past week with the best catches falling to;

B Milne, Whitehills, 25 fish, (Olive Fritz), A Murray, Gardenstown, 23 fish, (Olive Fritz), P Green, Huntly, 11 fish, (Bloodworm), F Murray, Buckie, 11 fish, (Cat's Whiskers), B Milton, Buckie, 9 fish, (Cat's Whiskers), B Gray, Largue, 9 fish, (Buzzers), I Watt, Turriff, 9 fish, (Bloodworm).

Best junior return was from visiting angler Alistair Caithness (12) from Kirkcaldy, who landed 16 fish up to 4lb.

Several more creditable sizes have been landed with B Milne including 2 at 5lb, 1 at 6lb in his 25 fish total. Several other anglers landed fish in the 5-6lb range.

The date for the Troutmaster fish off will be notified shortly and this years Troutmaster competition is now open.

Delgatie Castle Fishery is open 7 days from 8:00am til 5:00pm and visitors and novices are welcome.

Boats, rods and all tackle available for hire at the fishery. For further information, phone Bob on 07980 999 006. :z15
