Been offered a brand-new only used once rod above for 80 quid. Some research suggests this rod was discontinued? Can anybody shed some light on this? Think it's a good offer?

Yes, discontinued, but a good rod. I have a 10 foot 4 weight for Czech nymphing/drys from the tube. I think its a lovely rod.

£80 is a good price.

If you contact your local Orvis store, you may get a new one for that same price, they've been discontinued for 2012.
