not much of a report... would love to say this fish was the result of hours of hard graft... but in truth, arrived at water, quick chat with stuart spence who arrived at same time, decided to have a cast further downstream. 2nd cast, bang... uh oh, that's big... huge... help... Stuart appears with large gye net, and netted this creature:
weighed at 11lb 3 oz with net, or around 9lb 12 oz subtracting weight of the net - a sea trout just shy of 10lb...
caught, and released, on aberdeen angling assoc. waters, on a size 14 silvery invicta ish fly.
not much of a story, but a cracking fish! big thanks to stuart for netting, weighing and taking photos. Oh, and neither of us touched another fish for rest of the session. Not that I was caring!

ben, no, sadly i didn't take any scales... too excited! i even had a scale sample packet & tweezers in the pocket too. been told it's one of the biggest sea trout from ADAA waters for quite a while (ever?!) so it's only now that i'm kicking myself for not sampling. ah well, a bit late now...
