Title: Haddo Trout Fishery ( to February 19th )
Post by: Mike Barrio on 19/02/2007 at 22:33
Hi folks

The water was still very cool at Haddo this week and catches were lower than normal, but most anglers enjoyed good sport for the time of year with around half a dozen fish for their session. Damsels, Mini Cats, Black Pennell, Bloodworm and spiders proved to be the most productive flies.

Denis Brown tempted 12 fish up to approx 5 lb for his session, Jim Adie 11 up to 4½ lb and Stephen Davidson netted 10, including a cracking rainbow estimated to be over 15 lb.

Top junior rod was 8 year old Jordan Wiseman from Fraserburgh who caught his first trout on the fly ........ Well done Jordan  :z16

Best wishes
