Title: The Ericht
Post by: Jim Eddie on 09/04/2011 at 18:01
Hi folks

Just back from a week in Perthshire with the family, manged to escape for some fishing though. I was staying in Cupar Angus, so I took out a weeks trout permit for the Ericht.
Permits are available from Kate flemings in Bliargowrie a weeks ticket is a bargain at £5 , you can fish sundays which is probably the best day as there ar no Salmon anglers. Its probably not the best time of year as the water is still very cold from the snow melt in the glen, but I have a window of opportunity in the mornings before breakfast.
I have had no great sucess over the years but the sun shined on me this trip and I had my biggest Brownie of around 1-1/2lb which is a good fish for the river, sorry about the pictures they really dont give it justice, it was taken on a Dirty Weeker, more about that later.
