Another week where the temperature has dropped again and the water temperature has stayed down. Despite the conditions some creditable catches were recorded with lures leading the way as the end tackle, but an increasing number of fish falling to Buzzers and Nymphs.

Best catches for the week were:

S Anderson             Peterhead          19 fish
A Murray                 Gardenstown     13 fish
L Davidson               Macduff             10 fish
C Mackay                 Whitehills          10 fish
G Anderson              Macduff              9 fish
N Thomson              Turriff                 9 fish
R Donald                  Macduff              8 fish
G Burton                  Gardenstown       7 fish


Troutmaster 2011 "Fish off"

The qualifier for the Trout Master competition was held on Saturday 2nd April and a good turnout of 11 anglers faced a morning of torrential rain and wind which thankfully cleared after lunch, and a bright, sunny afternoon followed.

The winners in the various sections were:

Seniors     Winner            A Anderson    Peterhead     11 fish
                Runner up       L Davidson      Macduff        10 fish

Juniors      Winner           N Cowie         Whitehills        4 fish
                Runner up       B Melling        New Pitsligo   

Ladies competition was won by Denise Murdoch of Portlethen with 5 fish. The Senior and Junior winners are now invited to go forward to the National finals held at Graffham Water.
