Title: ORVIS Access Rods
Post by: Ewan Lindsay on 11/02/2011 at 14:05
Question for Mr Dixon I suppose...

Ben, are the new Orvis Access Range of Rods made in Machester Vermont or the Far East?

Hi Ewan,

The rods are made & built from start to finish by Orvis in the US.  I've cast most of the range and really like them, nice to look at, very light in the hand and so far I've not broken one despite hammering them hard against the tape for distance, they seem very strong.  I have a 907 tipflex that I am using for distance practice with one of Mikes GT140s #7 lines, the two make an awesome combination.  I've also got a 906 to use for teaching, very light plenty of feel and will be a really nice fishing rod.

Cheers

Ben
