Winston have just released the New B111X range

Cool :z12

At least this is one Specialised manufacturer of Cracking flyrods that is happy to sell you a blank.
My B11x 3wt was a belter (as is the 5wt :z14), wonder what the B111x one will BE like :wink

This might be interesting too, an all graphite range of fast actions, the blank prices are VERY interesting :z18
If they are built like every other winston product, then they should be superb value

Good stuff

Are any other manufacturers still using Boron? Bruce and Walker used it in the late 90's in a range of rods, Normark had the Norboron (still have a 10 foot 7/8 weight and love it) but it seems to have been dropped by the mainstream manufacturers.

I did read an article a while back saying that as a rod material it added no benefits, but Winston obviously believe different.
