Just feathers Baz, or do you use oiler puffs too? I might have a possible source for high quality product :wink

I'd probably have to choose between feathers and puffs.

Cheers

Hi Mike,
I use a lot of CDC feathers tying dries, using the Marc Petitjean method. I have never tried the puffs however - too fiddly for me!

I've used the puffs before and found them very easy to use for wings and posts etc, probably not much use for spinning/dubbing though.

The product appears to be excellent, but I'm not sure it's my thing, as it doesn't really go with fly lines and I'm not a fly tying specialist :z6

Cheers

Hi Baz :z16

Have been trying to take product photos today, but it hasn't been easy to get them right. Hope to have them on the site within a couple of days, but I can sell them via PM already and take payment via Paypal if you need some in a hurry :wink

Price will be £4 per bag and there will be a special offer for forum members ...... when you order 3 bags of CDC, a forum member can choose a 4th bag 'FOC' by sending me a PM and asking for the colour that they would like for their free pack.

Best wishes
Mike

Hi Mike

I have been tying a few flies with CDC recently, hopefully tomorrow I will post a photo of a tape wing caddis that looks as though it should work well.

This is a new fly to me this winter, I will have to wait until next spring / summer to see what the trout make of them.

regards

Kevin.

Nice flies as always Baz, good to see you made it home after seeing the pics from the rig not long back.

The CDC is nice, Mike brought the box over a few weeks back and the pics on the site don't do the colour justice IMHO.  Some of them are really cool, very cheap (probably too cheap) at £4 per bag.  Personally hate the stuff and rarely use it apart from in a few particular circumstances but in those circumstances I would not want to be without a CDC dry.

Cheers

Ben

Agreed, my order arrived this morning (uber quick delivery Mr B  :shock) and a preliminary check through the bags shows very vibrant colours, very nice indeed

Certainly cheaper than the smaller packs I have in my fly tying room..... very good value for money.
