Hi folks
The feedback that I've been getting from customers about the lighter of the GT series lines, the #3 and #4, has been great and folk seem to be really enjoying the benefits of that extra line control that the GT offers.
So much so that I've decided to add a GT140 WF2F to the range and this will be available soon :wink
Best wishes

Hmmm :roll ...... our fly line and product topics are kind of spread out throughout the forum, I wonder if it would be better to have a separate "Barrio" section?
Cheers

Would that be a place just for yourself Mike? A special or a happy place perhaps?

Would the door be big enough :wink

I was just thinking it might be better not to mix the Barrio fly lines topics in with the rest ...... just a thought :wink
Cheers

Seriously though, it might not be a bad idea to have all the Barrio Tackle related items in a seperate section.
then people can drop in to see what is new and perhaps even suggest or ask about specific items directly.
I can see some benefit in it and it might save some important announcements getting lost in the main threads.
I don't think it is to pretentious either, but i would like to hear other peoples thoughts on this first :z16
Cheers

Only problem i have, is, i keep seeing the Fast Show sketch with The guy coming out of the outside Lav saying
"today i ar mostly been doing.........."
It is just too appropriate an image :z4 :z4 :z4 :z4 :z4 :z4

Poor old Mr B, getting it in the neck.
Fair to say though that the lastest reviewer of Barrio tackle has perhaps seen one too many damp sheds......

Another stroke of genius from Mr Barrio.
I always wondered where the fly line inspiration comes from. Most of us take literature to the dunny! :z4

About pissed myself at that :z4

Lol Mike wasn't sure you would have the balls to post it. Serious stuff this fly line development :z4. Cant accept any of the credit for this masterpiece lads all I did was laugh (quietly)in the background.
Pity you cant see the joints in the fly line, done with gaffer tape and also nails by the sounds of it.

That must be a new production process Noel, previously they were always "welded" with a Marlboro :z4

Far from it actually, the fish were well up for it. We had a great mix including a fin perfect brownie of about 4lbs that fought like a demon.

Great stuff ..... are you going to make one Sandy? :z16
I think i might just give it a go :grin I've got some light SWFF stuff to build first, but then..................
Sandy
-
And now I'm getting requests for a GT140S WF9F version from overseas :wink
Great stuff ..... Where's me hammer :z4
Cheers
Mike
-
The GT140S WF9F is in progress and should be available in a few week's time :z16
-
Are you going to have a go at a hot weather coating?
I would imagine a 9wt line of this ilk will find it's way into the tropics :wink
it would be terrible if it was limp :cry
it would probably be a great line for UK SWFF in the standard coating although a bit stiffer is better in the wind
and with bigger flies :z16

Good points Batman :z16
The GT140S is proving popular in Australia, so I'm hoping for some feedback from there regarding coatings. So far all the feedback from the Southern Hemisphere has been very positive!
Cheers
