At last, after 2-3 weeks of disappointing fishing, this week has seen a dramatic improvement in fish numbers caught and the words "blank", "one" and "two" are being despatched to memory and replaced with "four" "five" and "six". Some anglers had even better results including:
A Gibson Gardenstown 16 fish
J West Fraserburgh 12 fish
P Conlan Stuartfield 10 fish
B Milne Whitehills 8 fish
P Gray Turriff 13 fish
With 95% of recorded catches in the 2.5 - 4lb range and no recorded fish under 2lbs.
Quite a few larger specimens in the 6-8lb range were landed and some of the heavier fell to:
S Conlan Stuartfield 9lb
A Gibson Gardenstown 10.25lb
N Ritchie MacDuff 11lb
The variety of end tackle never ceases to amaze but Olive Damsels, Black/Silver Buzzers get quite a few mentions with Black also appearing as a dominant colour. The "Daddy" is beginning to come into it's own especially early morning and evening.
At the time of writing this report (Sunday am) it is blowing a gale with heavy rain and the promise of fresh water together with two stock deliveries due Sunday and Monday, we are hoping for a bumper week.
Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is now a Trout Master water and we encourage young anglers and learners.
Boats, rods and all necessary tackle is available for hire.
For all enquiries phone Bob on 07980 999006. :z15

Hi Bob :z16
Please don't post stocking schedules in the fishing reports, as it then becomes more of an advert than a report :z6
If you double stock in one week, then this should obviously result in a bumper fishing report next week :wink
Best wishes
Mike
