Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 23/05/10
Post by: The Aul Troot on 24/05/2010 at 09:18
The end of another week with sunshine, low winds and rising temperatures. In other words, the weather we had been praying for this last few weeks. So, what have we to complain about? You're right!! the weather, too bright - not enough wind to create a ripple and warm surface water. Are anglers difficult to please? However, despite the conditions, some credible catches were recorded including;

A Gibson         Gardenstown      25 fish to 5lbs
P Cowie          Fraserburgh        21 fish to 5lbs
J McCann       Turriff               11 fish to 3lbs
J Dewar          Fraserburgh       10 fish to 4lbs
C Scott          MacDuff            9 fish to 4lbs
G Hutcheson   Turriff               7 fish to 3lbs
A Anderson     Peterhead          7 fish to 4lbs

Catches this week were recorded as falling to a variety of end tackle with various lures. Buzzers and dry flies accounting for most. But Damsel Nymphs, Bloodworm and Snatchers along with Mayfly and Bibio accounting for a creditable share.
Look out for details of our first fun day pencilled in for late June. Final arrangements will be published in the next two weeks.

Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is now a Troutmaster water.
