Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 02/05/10
Post by: The Aul Troot on 02/05/2010 at 18:42
Here we go again, May has arrived, weather does not change. Still the cold North-North East winds persist with accompanying low temperatures. During brief periods of a lull and a break to sunshine, fish are taking freely to dry flies or a combination of dry fly and buzzers. Some good catches have been recorded including:

M James     Lancaster       33 fish to 5lbs
R Donald     MacDuff         16 fish to 4lbs
I Watt        Turriff            13 fish to 4.5lbs
G Burton     Gardenstown   10 fish to 8lbs
C Fiels        Fraserburgh    7 fish to 3lbs
W Gray       Largue           4 fish to 5lbs

Our new boats have arrived and with completely clear floor area are proving successful.

I know that we have just acquired the fishing on the 1st March but already we are having thoughts and new ideas about the fishing environment, especially regarding fishing methods and end tackle. Anyone with comment is welcome to reply and promote ideas.

Delgatie Castle is now a Troutmaster water.
