Title: Artoch Report - 25 Apr
Post by: Stuart at Artloch on 25/04/2010 at 21:21
Cold, changeable winds up until Friday, put the fish down and only a Yellow Dancer would entice them.   Since then the sun has made more than a brief appearance, the wind has eased back and gone back to where it should be!   Result - more amenable fish that want to feed and take a fly.    Matching the hatch has caused some scratching of heads, but those that have managed it (or got close) have left with double figure bags and some good fish in the 6 to 8 lbs range, plus a nice brownie of circa 2 lbs.   Various buzzers patterns, Diawl Bach, Hares Ear, dark dries and CDCs have also attracted fish when feeding, but the Yellow Dancer does the business when the fish are less inclined.
