Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 25/04/10
Post by: The Aul Troot on 25/04/2010 at 18:13
Here we are again. The end of another week - what can we say? Tuesday and Thursday were both uncomfortable days weatherwise creating difficulties for the angler and restricted catches for those brave enough to try. It's nice to see more fish falling to dry flies although Buzzers probably accounted for the most fish. Early morning and evening saw fish fall to lures including WBW, Cormorant and Cat's Whiskers. Some of our main catches were:

M James       Lancaster     26 fish to 6lbs
K Reid          Gamrie         33 fish to 8lbs
K Slessor      Peterhead    11 fish to 8lbs
C Feld          Fraserburgh  10 fish to 3lbs

As I write this report, Denise Murdoch from Portlethen has just landed a nice 6lb 3oz fish and 9 year old Shona Slessor from Peterhead has caught a 4lb beauty.
We can now look forward to better weather and productive fishing with the holiday weekend approaching.
Just received delivery of our first new boat (3 more to follow next week) and are very pleased with the unobstructed level floor area. Anyone want to buy our used boats - 4 for sale.

This fishery is now a Troutmaster water. For all details phone Bob on 07980 999 006.
