I was down in Blairgowrie for a week with the family, Blair is an ideal base for exploring Perthshire. As far as fishing is concerned you are spoiled for choice with rhe Ericht and Isla on your doorstep and the Tay the Tummel and the Earn close by , you also have a variety of loch to choose from. The town also has a great tackle shop which can supply the permits and some great local knowledge. Due to the weather I did not get as much fishing as I'd planned , but I did manage a day on the Ericht on Friday (Trout day ticket £2 :wink)
