Title: loose reel seat!!

Hi sorry dont know if i should put this on rod building or not but........ my reel creeps round when im fishing and can move very easily just wondered if any of you guys know a solution to this or if i have to send it to the manufactures, or if any of you very kind rod builders want to earn a few quid :z4.

Its a sharpes  9'6"   7 weight.

If the reel seat is that loose try to see if you can slide it off the butt end of the blank. If you can then just glue it back on with plenty epoxy resin such as Araldite. Give it a day for the glue to set and you are back in business. :z16

Or send it back to Sharpes and complain :)

What sort of fitting is it? Does it have a fighting butt or is it straight on the end of the blank?

Once we know that we can advise a bit better :)
