Ewan Lindsay released a cracking Haddo Brownie today, at 5 lbs, this is the largest one caught since the fishery opened

Nice fish, what did it take?

Hi Noel

It was either a green Caddis Spider or a wee Flashback Damsel, I think Ewan got the brownie on the Damsel.

He had been watching Jay doing well in the distance, fishing Spiders and Okey Dokeys under a Sedgehog New Zealand style. So Ewan started to fish his flies on the drop rather than retrieving, watching the tip of his fly line for takes. He had a nice rainbow of about 8 - 9 lbs too.

Best wishes
Mike

How common is the brownies at the fishery?
Mike, do you have any idea when the brownie was stocked, if it was.
