Mike was doing a bit of after hours product testing this evening and accidentally caught something, posted this as Mike fishing is something you will not see every day!! Don't ask what the fly was :z4

Nice one Ben .... I guess we'll call that quits for the infamous "Ben float tubing" video! :z4 :z4
We were trying out my new fly line today to see how big a fly we could get good turnover at distance with ..... and I got caught on film catching a trout with a rather big lure :oops :oops :oops

I agree with Sandy, we need to see just what an ugly fly it was. Purely in the interests of what the line can handle, ofcourse. Nothing to do with Mike fishing a lure :wink

The offending article, not one of Mikes I tied it for the FF&FT league last year but decided it was not Magnus proof enough so rejected it :z4

The line is great Iain and will be available in late October, possibly early November, depending on when I get my slot on the machines :wink

this seems like the appropriate time to make a confession ben!
whilst fishing the kenmore beat i was targeting some big trout that were rising in the margins with a dry
only to have a duck take my fly!!!
i managed to "land it" and get my fly out !!
i packed up and left straight away!! :shock
a very valuable lesson was learnt!! :z8

What the hell fly were you using? Did you release the duck? Damn sure I wouldn't have, fly tying materials and a meal all in one!!

it was a small muddler
the duck lunged at it and got it right in its bill
gave a good account of its self but i was glad no one witnessed it!
all i can say is im glad iv got a ketchum release otherwise id have lost my fly
the duck went back to fight another day! :z4
i was a bit freaked out by the whole experience though! :shock

Looks like the fish gave a good account of itself, have to get back to Haddo for a day out soon.
