Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fisher
Post by: Noel Kelly on 22/08/2009 at 21:49
With Haddo being closed today I had to get my thinking cap on and look for somewhere else I could get out in my tube. Settled on Delgatie and I'm so glad that I finally made it up there. What a super place. Flat calm as I drove in the track by the loch being broken by rings and splashes of rising fish everywhere :grin and I was shortly to find out they were eager to take a dry, well some of them anyway.
Superbly conditioned really hard fighting fish who all stripped line of my reel again and again and almost all with full tails. Had 7 for my 4 hrs all on drys and I would say all between 3 and 5lbs.
In a word superb.
