The All Night Competition held at the Glen of rothes trout fishery was greeted with good weather, apart from midges the evening was enjoyable and all had a good night out.33 anglers caught 282 fish and many more were lost throughout the evening also, with the eventual winners being 1st Pihil Bieske with 3 fish for 13lbs 6ozs,2nd Chris Johnstone with 3 fish for 9lbs 14ozs,3rd was Grahme Hartley with 3 fish for 9lbs 2ozs. The coarse competition was won By Chris Reed with a nice bag of Carp for 6lbs 9ozs and 2nd was Tony Hunt.many of the bigger coarse fish were seen during the evening but avoided the hook.New platforms are being placed in the coarse loch.Over the next couple of weeks some more improvements are to be added to make the fishery even more comfortable for anglers who visit the fishery.The weeks fishing itself continued to be good,especially top water with dries,with a good range of decent fish being caught.S Scott had a 5lb 1ozs fish,R Garthshore had a 6lb 6ozs,Gavin Addison had a 6lb fish,Phil Watt had a 7lb 8ozs ,P Bieske had a &lb 7ozs fish,C Johnstone a 5lb 11ozs and what was the best fish of the week was caught by Mark Tait with a Wild Brown of 7lbs which was returned as part of fishery rule.neil Corbett had a bag of 17 bream,7 carp and 2 orfe and Tony Hunt had a tally of 12 carp and 8 bream through the week on the coarse loch which is fishing well .Limited groundbait is the key on this loch with so much natural food source in the water. next Competition is the Snowbee Challenge Singles on 19th July which is filling up very fast so if you wish to enter please contact the fishery for details.
