Title: South Uist
Post by: LondonScottish on 20/11/2006 at 09:45
Hi everyone,

I'm looking to go to South Uist next September for a week. Anyone got any experience of which lochs are best, and what flies to have tied?

Thanks, David

David

I haven't been (would love to go though) this site may be of help, apparently Billy Felton who runs the B & B is a wealth of information.

hi david
went to south uist a couple of years ago with a couple of mates, brilliant place will go back as soon as i can, but when we went we did our own thing (big mistake!!). we joined the angling club and fished as many of their waters as we could but found out just before we went home that the lochboisdale hotel have all the good waters and the rest are below average. we really enjoyed our trip and did catch a few trout all around the pound mark but would stay at the hotel next time, it's a long way to go for average fishing. scenery and wildlife was amazing.
cheers
