Title: Want to fly up the River Don today?
Post by: Mike Barrio on 30/11/2008 at 12:51
Hi folks

If you're stuck for something to do today? ....... Here is a new toy :wink

If you have google earth installed on your PC, download the latest update and then press "control alt and A". This will give you access to a rather cool flight sim on google earth and you can fly around Aberdeenshire and up the Don :wink

I tried to land on the ice at Haddo, but it obviously isn't thick enough yet, so I crashed :z4

Cheers
Mike

Ahhhh ....... You'll need controls :z7

Keyboard controls are here http://earth.google.com/intl/en/userguide/v4/flightsim/index.html (http://earth.google.com/intl/en/userguide/v4/flightsim/index.html)

Enjoy :wink

Tip .... just tap the controls, they are very sensitive, I don't know how many times I went in to downward spirals and crashed :z4

:z17 try starting google earth as normal and then once you are in Aberdeenshire, press the "control alt A" keys to start the flight sim :wink

Cheers
