Title: Haddo in oil
Post by: Mike Barrio on 19/11/2006 at 12:36
Hi folks

Paul "spiros" sent me this today.
He says he hadn't picked up a paint brush for 16 years and then decided to have a go at an oil painting.

Nice one  :z14

Best wishes
Mike

There was some Dutch guy, Vincent Van somethingorother. He liked that shade of blue too, but he was wasn't as good a painter as Spiros.

Lovely, boat number 46 was my favourite vessel, ;-)

Great memories.....

I am way out of tough with all things since being away for years, however what ever happened to the boats?

Last time I was there for a walk I could just make out a couple of them buried in the silt at the bottom end, with reeds growing out of them  :cry

Criminal, couple of those boats were 'proper vintage' and warranted saving. But... these things take time and money.
Back to nature they go  :z10
