Hi folks
Sandy and I were playing with bandy nets today and catching ourselves some tasty grub :z5
Here are some of the beasties that are high on the menu at Haddo :wink
Corixa, damsels and alders are prolific.

Some nice photos there Mike!
Its amazing how shops tie up Damsels to sell over the counter and they look nothing like those photos!
How big are the damsels and corixa?
-
Baz
The damsels we caught ranged from about 20mm to 40mm
The corixa are imature ones, hard to tell from the shots but most have yellow bellies
They were all between 5mm and 10mm. Mature ones have white bellies and are usually between 10mm and 12mm long.
The alder larva were between 15mm and 30mm long.
We were catching them for a reason :wink
But all will be revealed towards the end of the month.
We have video footage of all the wee beasts, plus some of freshwater shrimps. As well as lots of stills.
If you can guess where its going you'll have a head start :z4
