Title: Haddo Trout Fishery
Post by: Mike Barrio on 14/11/2006 at 00:22
Hi folks  :z16

It has been a cold and windy week at Haddo, weather conditions which appeared to suit the trout and produced some good sport, with an average catch of 7 fish per angler.

In the boats, Keith Crocket tempted 29 fish up to approx 10 lb, Ian Knox 14 to 8 lb, Fred McAlley 13 to 4½ lb, Bill Main 13 to 4 lb, Hugh Baxter 12 to 8 lb, Kenny Hall 11 to 4 lb, Chris McAllister 11 to 5 lb, Chris Brown 10 to 4 lb and Kenny Noble netted 11 fish including one of 11 lb and one of 12 lb.

Top rods in the float tubes this week were Stuart Forsyth with 21 fish up to 4 lb, Iain Cameron with 17 to 5 lb and Kipps Kerr with 11 fish up to 7 lb.

The top 3 catches fell mainly to size 14 and 16 spiders, buzzers and nymphs ........... but a very wide variety of flies have been productive this week.
