Title: Glen Tanar
Post by: Jim Eddie on 25/05/2008 at 21:20
Fished Glen Tanar today for the first time , what a grand wee loch. Its a a beutiful setting , the weather was great prolific fly hatches , fish rising everywhere.

Its a bit of a hike from Peterhead , but I will ceratinly go back , not a big loch , but there are only 3 boats so it does not feel overcrowded , fairly shallow with gin clear water.

Did not have a prolific day in terms of numbers , landed 2 Rainbows and a Brown , lost another 1/2 dozen or so , but in suck an idyllic setting in perfrect weather numbers really do not count.

Aye, it's a bonny spot - and a mere hop skip and jump from my front door :! If it weren't for Haddo I'd probably go there more often  :z15
