Title: Artloch Report
Post by: Stuart at Artloch on 05/05/2008 at 10:58
With the warmer weather, rising fish are now a feature at Artloch, so it comes as no surprise to learn that a significant number of bows have been taken on dries this past week.   However, it's not any dry, but a size 16 or smaller and coloured either black or dark olive.   Besides dries, emergers, buzzers and various nymphs have also done well taking some nice fish in the 5 to 8lbs range.   Examples of returns include Tim Sampson who during a short visit released 7 all on dries, best at 4lbs, while M Mitchell tempted 10 and J Mitchell 12 on buzzers.   Visitors B Moore and I Cope released 11 and 12 repectively, both used nymphs and buzzers with best at 5lbs.

Saw first sedge on Sunday....seemed a bit unsteady on it's feet though!
