Hi Irvine
Not this time, this one has Garrison staggered nodes and is solid. Its varnished instead of impreg but has a taper and action very similar to the hollow one.
Much easier to make and to be honest, doesn't feel much different to cast with :z6, which in some ways is rather dissapointing given the disparity in effort, and in others is rather cool , because it makes a cracking rod a bit more affordable. :z18
This one is a Barrio "Wairua" 7ft 6" 4wt, this is the 3rd one we've built and so far they have all been beautiful casting and fishing tools with a great deal of consistancy in action. :wink
Its based on My Hollow rod and is far too similar for my liking :z10 But does give us a great potential product :wink

SIC on bamboo ?! surely you'll go to Hades for that dude.... !!! :z4 :z4 :z4

Occupational Hazard i'm afraid :z4.
I'll take quality and function every time over Aesthetics (although i must confess to not being a fan of Agate for any purpose :z6) .
They are built to be fished with, my options are usually Sic or Cermet (but i can't seem to be able to get any more Cermets :cry) so now the options will be Chrome or titanium (personally i love the Ti rings, now they are pretty :z7)
