The fishery has been plagued by North-North East winds for most of the week but thankfully today (Sunday) has abated somewhat. Water temperatures have dropped again and the fish have been caught at various levels depending on the time of day. Best catches this week have fallen to:
R Mitchell Alloa 12 fish to 5lbs
P Gray Turriff 19 fish to 6lbs
J Mackay Macduff 8 fish to 4lbs
S Anderson Peterhead 11 fish to 8lb 9oz
L Yule Pitcaple 8 fish to 4lbs
M James Lancaster 10 fish to 4lbs
B Milton Buckie 7 fish to 3lbs
Sandy Anderson from Peterhead had a great session not only landing a total of 11 fish but also the best fish of the week with an 8lb 9oz specimen and then, with his last fish, claimed a £100 tag. He went home happy - well done Sandy!
This weeks best flies were very variable with different anglers preferring their own favourities. Best for the week were Buzzers, Emergers and dries whilst the better lures were Yellow Dancer, Black Fritz and Olive WSW.
Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is now a Troutmaster water and welcomes juniors, beginners and seasoned anglers.
