| Description: Haven't got my permit sorted out yet ..... and I've missed that brief early window. I'm really looking forward to seeing the back of this cold snap and getting out on the river again. I've got my new Freestone rod from Sandy to try, there are still some beats on the Don that I haven't fished yet and a trip to Assynt that hasn't happened for one reason or another for two years! I'm also looking forward to pottering about in the garden ( which is really funny for somebody that has always found even cutting the grass a chore ) and of course, simply getting out n about, there are many more rivers, lochs, castles, hills and beaches to explore, plenty of boxes to tick.
