Hi chaps
I was wondering if anyone had been fishing in Abu Dhabi ?
I've come on a working holiday and have another couple of trips arranged so was i'm going to pack some gear.
The heaviest rod I have is a #7 9'6 sharpes, can anyone advise if I could go up a few weights (line) without proving difficult to "chuck" a larger fly. For example, do you think I could cast a #10 weight intermediate or sink on it.
Think I can leave the #3 weight at home!!
Cheers
Adam.

Take some "sand flies" ;)
As for chucking a 10 weight on a 7....I would not attempt it myself. Better off getting a Bass Taper #7 line which is designed to turn big flies.
I have a 10 weight Greys Esox 4 piece I could lend you if you like. Its actually built on a Greys Oceania blank. Has a fore grip for lifting and stopping large fish.
Orrrrr, I have a 9/10 weight semi built custom Harrison salt water rod I could sell you..just needs rings. :)
