I've only been there once, when tried it for salmon one day right at the end of last October.  I was convinced at that time of year I was in with a good shout - sadly I was wrong again so I'll blame it on the weather which was cold and windy   :z4 :z4. 

The water level was showing at 1’7” on the Alford gauge.  I took these photos which only cover some of the water working downstream from below Ardhuncart Lodge:

Hardy’s Pool (I think) – at this height there was a good flow but the picture doesn’t show it very well:

Inver Mossat looking down towards the Auld Brig Pot – the Mossat Burn enters on the far bank just outside the photo on the far left.  The Alford to Strathdon road overlooks this pool:
