Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 11/06/11
Post by: The Aul Troot on 12/06/2011 at 12:56
A much more difficult week for fishing with all the catches being recorded for deeper down in the water and nothing taken on the "dry". Slight colour in the water but the current forecast might lead to a "flush out" and a rejunevation of the stock to more active levels. The weeks best catches were recorded by:

I Watt                Turriff             11 fish             Olive bloodworm / Buzzers
M Guest             Shropshire       11 fish             Bloodworm / Nomad
J Milne               Whitehills         9 fish              Green Fritz / Blue WSW
D Mackay           Macduff            7 fish              Orange Dancer
S Anderson        Peterhead         7 fish              Orange lure
W Rainnie          Banff                7 fish              Green Fritz / WSW
S Griffiths           Fordyce           7 fish               White Fritz / Olive Buzzer

Hopefully this week's weather will start producing surface or sub surface activity for the coming few days and the dry fly can re-emerge from hibernation in the fly box. Our "wild brownies" are still active and quite prolific in numbers but quite elusive to take.

Delgatie Castle is a Troutmaster water and all equipment including boats, rods and tackle is available for hire. Bank fishing is also proving quite successful.
