Title: Fishing in Dorking/Surrey
Post by: Rob Brownfield on 14/05/2010 at 10:28
I am off to a wedding beginning of June and will be based slightly to the West of Dorking.

Anyone got any information on Trout fishing down that way, preferably river fishing?

I have found the Albury Estate that seems to offer trout, if not a strange pricing structure...you have to pay a £12 day membership plus either £19 for two fish or £32 for 4 fish. No catch and release and you MUST have a 4 fish ticket if starting before lunchtime!

Seems all rather confusing and expensive to me :(

They do however offer trout fishing on the River Tillingbourne which I loke the looks of..but at potentially £51 to fish for stocked rainbows..wel...hmmmmm.

I also like the look of the River Mole. Has a few trout, but its the chub I would be interested in. Anyone have info on that?

Any other thoughts?

Thanks
Rob
