Which lens are your using and is it on your Panasonic camera?

your Panasonic camera?
Lumix??

Been looking for a decent macro lense for about 3 - 4 months. Decided on this one then had to save up my paper money.
It is micro 4/3 mount for the Lumix GH2.
Olympus M Zuiko 60mm f 2.8 lens, excellent reviews.

I use the Lumix G1 but I am looking at upgrading the body to the new G5, but a fair few people have said not to bother as the "gizmos" on the G5 don't make it any better than the G1 if you are using manual settings, which I tend to do.
I live the Lumix G/GH series as they are so small compared to the eqivalent Nikon/Canon. Perfect for sticking in a rucksack.

I like my chunky old Nikon and I need a rucksack just for the camera :z4
-
I like my GH2 Rob but when reviewing this camera there were the faction that hated these 'toytown' affairs due to fact that being so small the chance of accidentally hitting buttons & changing settings was a real possibility.
This was indeed a problem for me at first with my nudger fingers but I'm getting more dainty and it's seldom an issue now.
It will most certainly do for me until I become experienced enough to make an informed decision on future kit.

Weight was the primary reason that I didn't go for a full frame initially.
You throw out a nice photo with it mike :z16

My camera may be 2/3rds the size and weight of your Mike, but now I have lenses up to 600mm, I also have to have a seperate rucksack!..lol.

The missus uses a Sony NEX-7, Sony 18-200mm plus Raynox M-150 :

Photos don't do the detail visible justice, especially on the nymphs. All hand held too.

Mr Goo,
here is the dragonfly from Assynt that we were speaking about in the shop the other day. It is not perfect but hand held macro with a hangover up in the hills is not easy.

Four-Spotted Chaser Eddie. Ben showed me a photo of a Golden-ringed from Assynt from a few years ago. Great habitat for them.

L,
i bow to your knowledge on species of Dragonflies but you are right the are lots of them in Assynt must be a great place for them to live and breed, also a great palce to fish for troots. rool onMay and june and travelling back up there. I do alot of spring salmon fishing but if I was forced to make a choice the brownie fishing would win hands down every time.
Eddie.
