Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 10/09/11
Post by: The Aul Troot on 11/09/2011 at 09:54
A reasonable week weatherwise and good numbers have been recorded with most fish caught on lures fished at various levels but indicating that the feeding fish have gone deeper. Surely the "daddy" season is not passed and hopefully milder weather will follow after this week and we can resume surface and sub surface fishing for a few weeks yet.

This week saw some good catches with the following anglers posting good results:

A Murray, Gardenstown, 30 fish, (White fritz), L Davidson, Macduff, 23 fish, (Fritz-various), C Wright, Aberdeen, 10 fish, (Bloodworm/Buzzer), M Ewen jnr, Turriff, 10 fish, (Hares ear/Dry),  A Gibson, Gardenstown, 9 fish, (Bloodworm/WSW), G Thomson, Cairnbulg, 8 fish, (Cat's whisker), N Thomson, Turriff, 7 fish, (Buzzer), A Anderson, Peterhead, 7 fish, (WSW).

The evening fishing is unfortunately now drawing to a close but we will stay open until 8:00pm for another week although the nights are closing in fast.

Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is a Troutmaster water and visitors and beginners are welcome. Bookings are not necessary and the fishery is open 7 days from 8:00am til 8:00pm. Boats, rods and tackle is available for hire and futher information is available by phoning Bob on 07980 999 006. :z15
