Post by: jpm75 on 09/09/2011 at 17:18
I have finally went and got myself some bug bond and its Ace. Where have you been all my life. This is gonna cut down on the time it takes me to tie large quantities of buzzers.

So, back to the bugbond now we've got all the big words out of our systems. This stuff is great. Very exciting times ahead. The applications are endless.

I agree, it is costly. But for all the amount that you have to use and the time that you save, I think the pros out weigh the cons. My personal view.

I have been told that  this is effectively the same stuff (may have tacky finish) and a hell of a lot cheaper:

Great flies there John  :z16

What's the theory behind the 'rib' winding on the first buzzer? That's the one I'd have most confidence in fishing ( I do like black & green buzzers) although the second one looks the nicest.

Hi Iain, there's no theory behind the rib tied this way. I seen it in a magazine a while ago and I thought I'd give it a try. I have a range of colors tied, ang they have all worked for me.

Does anyone have any buzzer patterns tied on blood red hooks? It would be good to see some of them.

Hey guys,
I bought the Bug Bond kit here in the US a couple months ago - love the stuff! I found a place on Ebay selling Loon UV Knot Sense at $4.50 a tube. Works the same as BB..  :z16  Has any of you tried it ?

Hi MD, I checked out the loons uv knot sense on ebay. Looks the same sort of stuff. Might give it a try. Does it harden the same as BB?

Hi John,
I really cannot tell the difference ! I use it for a lot of different applications. I use Boobys to fish for largemouth bass and use the knot sense to seal 3D eyes on them . I have yet to have one fall off !  :z16

Great Stuff !!
