I was thinking about heading out on the Ythan on Monday , anyone know how the rivers looking ? I crossed the Ugie on the way to the Broch today and that looked unfishable.

I'm heading to the Ythan on Wednesday afternoon hopefully it will be down a bit so I can chuck a fly at them.

It was running clear, so should be OK by Wednesday.There is more rain forecast though. Quite a few cars parked at Ardlethen so looks like there were a few out on the river. Guy fishimg downstream from me had a fish also.

All I've heard is that a mannie from Methlick took a 16lb fish on Monday. Sorry.
