Hi all
Good lady and myself fished yesterday,  my fish 2lb 6 oz  hers 3lb 7 oz  :mad
Thing is when we got home and she was gutting the fish we noticed that the stomach of her one contained small twigs and 6 of the propellor things that fall from beech trees  :shock :shock
Is this normal  :z8 or any body heard of this before, thing is HOWmuch should i deduct of her weight  :z4 :z4 :z4

I'm not sure what the expanation is , could be that there are insects on the leaves / twigs that the Trout are after ?

Hi,
Maybe just damn hungry .  :wink

Paul.

Could well be, depending on the loch and food availability :wink

I have noticed that anglers often mistake caddis for sticks, but trout will mouth anything that might possibly be food and of course leaves etc can be covered with beasties like greenfly.

Cheers
Mike
