Title: Practical streamside use of elastic bands
Post by: Iain Cameron on 09/04/2014 at 20:25
How to use an elastic band to dry your flies. Not an april fool - dubious, I tried this, and it is pretty cool - high freq oscillations enough to shake away a good deal of the moisture from your soaked flies:

Ok, it's in spanish, just watch, you'll get the idea. I've used two small bands, looped together. I ping them at the join. one end looped around a D-ring on my vest; the other end is where you loop around your hook's bend. Make sure you hold the tippet so that the fly can get a good groove on.

a cool wee trick.

I like that simple but effective. Even in Spanish
