Many years ago I inherited some fishing gear from an Uncle, amongst which was an old Intrepid fly reel with a line on it. The reel was in very bad condition - I believe it had been used in salt water in Canada, so I binned it but kept the line.
The line itself is a level 3wt floater of unusual construction and must date back to the 60's or 70's. It is incredibly supple and has no memory at all....
I've loaded it on a vintage 3 pillar fly reel I restored a number of years ago....
Considering the lines age I'm amazed at it's condition, particularly as I know my Uncle used it regularly. Can anyone identify it?
