Evening fellas.
I am needing some inspiration for a fly swap I have entered. I think I may have bitten off more than I can chew this time. :oops :oops
I would like to tie something that will fish well on the Clyde.
If anyone has any ideas (preferably with pictures) I would really appreciate it.
Thanks in anticipation. :z18

Clyde style Teal & Black is one of my favourite flies. There may be a SBS somewhewre here, if not I'll try to do one

Sorry Peter, I didn't explain the brief very well in the post.
It is a wooly bugger I have to tie, however, I would love to see an SBS of the Teal and Black. :z16
PS I have a few of the tubes you were looking for to see if they are the right thing. PM me your address and I will send them to you.

Cool, If you can get a copy of 'Lets Fish the Clyde' by Bert Sharp it has a good selection of clyde flies. I'l do a step by step asap for you.

Thanks Gents.
Thats exactly the kind of thing I am looking for Ben. :z18
I am looking forward to the SBS Peter. I think that book is like hobby horse droppings :z4

If you're patient you can get them :wink, or go to coch-y-bondhu if you have a bit of spare cash :shock. A blast from the past for me I must have worn out the East Kilbride library's copy in the early 70's myself. :grin

Here is my attempt at a Wooly Bugger (thanks for sending the materials Ben :) ). I am looking forward to throwing them at some trout on the Clyde next Friday.

Nice Flies John. :z16
One problem there may be is the poor clyde trout may think they're just weegie neds flinging things at them and they'll head for the nearest bolt hole :z4 :z4 :wink
Saying that they're probably used to that :z4 :z4

They look good John :z16 Hope you get plenty of action.
