fly fishing for pollock of cove bay

hi am i writing to ask  if  there has been fish taken of cove bay because was going to try for pollock tomorow with my fly  rod  and whut kind of flys are best for ploock or bass thanks

Hi Jonathan, been doing a lot of sea fishing over the winter,targeting cod. Last out weds.(it was good!) hardly seen any pollack, even small ones?

Fishing for these on fly tackle is very appealing,but i think you need to wait until things warm up a little(not sure but think so),have heard of 2/3 bass being caught at Sandford beach,but theres lots of guys trying for them so not around yet in any great no's

Dont let me put you off i'd love you to prove me wrong.

As far as flies are concerned,think about what they are feeding on,sandeels and other small bait fish are probably the most obvious things you could emulate with a fly.

Have a go i'd be interested to see how you get on.
