Hello to all.
Just started fly fishing, I have some what I would consider reasonable fishing gear.
I have caught one rainbow trout at Banchory.
I have fished for years, most of that in the USA, but I have to admit that the fly fishing has got me going again after a long lull.
I am looking forward to what there is in store for me this coming year.

I went back today, new reel and line same rod (Abu Garcia, graphite 9Ft 6/7). Not a lot of luck inatialy, but after a kind fellow angler gave me a few tips, I hooked 3 smallish trout, 2 got away (the big ones) and I landed the third,1Lb.
I was told that my rod was too springy and my leader was far to short and my casting needs a bit of practice.
Soon after ,a new leader and a bit of concentration on the casting, it all started happening, another good day.
Cold and windy, but thats the fun for me.
Thank you to who ever you are.
